EA have just announced they've signed a deal with sporting tech firm XOS Technologies that will give college and pro football players access to "customised" versions of Madden. And by "customised", sadly, I don't mean better. No, the changes come in the playbooks - any player on an NCAA or NFL roster (sorry Arena) will soon be able to play specially-modified versions of NCAA or Madden that contain their real team's playbook, and their coaches will be able to run/install specific opposing patterns or schemes they can practice against.
Pray your favourite team doesn't adopt this. I mean, it's Madden. The running game and line mechanics are a joke, and have been going on six years now. It'll be like teaching streetfighting with Streetfighter. You'll have fun in practice, but come game time, you're going to get your ass kicked.
