Keep in mind this colonial representative is speaking strictly in terms of Australia, but the chances of him having gone renegade with this info aren't too high, so it'd surprise me if EA weren't looking at this globally.
Ryan Jones, GM of EA Australia, has told top-notch Aussie blog Screen Play that with the console "transition period" over, it's time for games to return to a more sensible pricing point.
For reference, last-gen titles generally cost the consumer AUD$99.95, but the arrival of the 360 has seen most new games on that platform hit $120. With the market settling down in 2007, however, Jones thinks we'll see "next-gen pricing drifting down to $99 by the end of the calendar year for all premium new releases".
That'd be nice, because as it stands, AUD$120 for a 360 game (which for interest's sake amounts to USD$94) is just taking the piss.
