That novelty PS3 price-cut circus Irish bookies Paddy Power started up has gone and backfired on their asses. Because there was no price-cut, they've had to refund all bets placed. Oops. Poor Paddy Power spokesperson Sharon McHugh; she was nothing but Wii jokes on Tuesday, now she's having to come cap-in-hand asking for your forgiveness:
We can only apologise and maybe we should have made it clearer in the press release. All bets will be void, we'll refund the money and people will get a free Novelty bet for the same amount.Chin up, Sharon. We'll always remember you for your Wii joke, there's just not enough of them in prepared company statements these days.
