The winners of the 2007 Entertainment Merchants Association's Video Game Home Entertainment Awards have been announced. Shockingly, for an organisation which exists to push the sale of games to retailers, those titles covered in glory seem also to be those that sold a fuckton of copies.
Among the winners were Madden 07 (best sports game), Need for Speed (best racing game), Smackdown vs Raw (best...fighting game?) and Gears of War (pretty much best of everything else).
And may I be the first to congratulate the winners! Great seeing Madden's constant innovation finally given the recognition it deserves.
