• 360, PS3 Ridge Racer Differences

    To your right, Ridge Racer 6/7. One shot from 6 on the 360, the other from 7 on the PS3. As you can see, they're not exactly identical, with a whole ton of differences highlighted.

    The PS3 version looks...well, a bit rubbish compared to the 360 one. A lot of the textures aren't as good (especially the water), the lighting isn't as good and it's missing parts of the background scenery. Does this mean the 360 version of Ridge Racer is graphically superior? Yes. Does this mean the 360 is a superior machine? Well...

    They probably did a good job getting RR7 out the door at all, what with the recent spate of cancellations and delays plaguing the PS3 launch. Still, expect a chorus of 360 fanboys chirping "the PS3 can't render cargo ships at mid-range distances!!!!!". Luke Plunkett
