Due in Feb. 2006, Game Freak s Drill Dozer is a cutesy platformer with depth that belies its cartoony appearance. Sure, L and R rotate your drill-bit (the primary weapon and travel tool in Drill Dozer) in different directions, but the game will have you spinning your wheels and that drill bit in different directions as later in the game you ll face unwitting jumping challenges. The slow-mo tutorial beginning manages to stay interesting and the two levels I played through showed great promise for the future of this GBA title. This could be a sleeper in 06.
