I've touched it.
Earlier this evening, I was interviewing Nintendo's VP of Marketing & Corporate Affairs, Perrin Kaplan, in the hotel lobby, when an extremely tired Satoru Iwata walked by. Kaplan introduced me, and I shoke the man's hand. Then, I proceeded to babble on about the new controller.
Cat pulls the controller out of his pocket and hands it to me.
Read it again.
I touched the new Nintendo controller that was in Iwata-san's pocket. The presentation really didn't do justice to the controller's sleek goodness. Nintendo's products are getting more and more beautiful. (Kaplan tells me that she recently purchased an iPod for Iwata, who said, "I can't stop listening to it.") The new N controller was exceptionally light and felt comfortable to the touch.
"That's not fair you get to take that," I tell Iwata.
He laughs and heads off to his room for the night, leaving me thinking. Now that I've touched it before 99% of the world, there's got to be some way I can play it.
