The wait is over. SNK's witch touching DS game Doki Doki Majo Shinpan has hit Japanese store shelves, and a limited number of official Doki Doki Majo talisman and stickers were given to customers on drop-date. Inevitable clips of the the "Witch Check" have of course popped up online. As far as erotic games go, this seems tame —even somewhat dull. During the "Witch Check," 14 year-old cheerleader Maho Akai keeps saying things like "That's bad," "Please stop" or "Gross." At the end, the girl goes "I don't know! I am not a witch" and then starts breathing heavily. Well then!

Well, this certainly doesn't look nearly as promisi- uh, i mean "Disgraceful" as people had hoped and i'm willing to bet that the 'adventure' sections are no Hotel Dusk either. All in all, i'll be waiting for Zelda over this and keeping one eye on Youtube for completion videos. Yknow.. For research.
The repetitive, loud voice clips get really annoying. And there really isn't much interesting going on.

You just need to make a few sounds a moving background and a sprite with blinking eyes. SNK must be making a 10,000% profit on this if enough pedobears buy it.
Oh, I bothered to watch the whole thing -- you can use 2-3 static meshes with blinking eyes instead of sprites. That or it's just sprites facing ordinal points or something. I just left it running and came back to close it and the view changed.

I liked the music and, as I tried to tell people, it's more visual novel territory than eroge.
Interesting reports on some 2ch threads: the cutesy graphics on the box are supposedly appealing to girls that purchased those DS dress-up games. Store clerks are having to be very careful to avoid selling them to these kids, as the content will obviously come as a bit of a shocker for kids expecting something a little more... uh, kid friendly.

@muu: Most kids can't buy the game . Of course each retailer is different, but the Japanese game stores that I've been to don't sell C rated games to younger kids anyway.
I haven't really thought much about this game, but today, a few sentances come to mind.

Part of me still hopes that they aren't really 14 years old and this was just an artistic choice on SNK's part, and all is well with the world. The other, more realistic part of me realizes how completely fucked up this really is. I'm not saying it'll turn people into child molesters (it's pretty unrealistic, I'll give you that) but it's basically enforcing anime's 'pedo' reputation. The fact that this is coming from SNK, one of my all-time favorite developers only makes it even more annoying.
They released that KoF dating sim a while ago, and I'm pretty sure there are more nerds that fap to KoF's (mostly legal) female cast than there are ones that dream of touching what looks like a 13 year old girl. At large, anyway. Couldn't they just stick to that?
