In Japan, there used to be pop music and anime pop music. Now, it's getting hard to tell the difference. Theme songs of popular cartoons now dominate top-ten radio, and the country's biggest acts, such as Chemistry or Ayumi Hamasaki, are lending their songs to anime. Sony Music has just set up an anime tunes site for the PSP with favs like Naruto, Bleach and Gundam.
It's another sign that the former fringe otaku subculture has hit the mainstream in Japan.
