There are players who are really into Resident Evil and then players who are really into Resident Evil. For them, here's a copy of the PS1 game to blow a cool grand on. What makes this so special? Even though RE is widely available, this version is factory-sealed, and the box is long.
Yep. Think even the diehards might shy away from that pricetag.

That guy is selling 2. 'Factory Sealed' seems to add $900 to the price tag.
Thats some pretty expensive sellophane.
: D
What the hell? It looks to me like the normal Resident Evil 1 cover that's been photoshopped to fit onto a DVD, and then just re-wrapped.
STOP! ... DON'T OPEN THAT DOOR~!! err.. i mean.. SEAL~!!!
Sounds like I should break out my factory-sealed Darkstalkers for the PS1. If Resident Evil could fetch $1000, I'd hope Darkstalkers (with the funky cardboard case) should get at least.....$20. Yeah, baby, yeah.
I MUST HAVE IT!! *rips out debit card*
I have that edition. Zero, the first generation PS1 games came in DVD size cases. I've also got Battle Arena Toshinden, Rayman, Ridge Racer, and a few others in this giant size box style.
lol, a tad bit extreme
The only funkybox title I've got is the original Wipeout(but it ain't factory sealed, I wanted to play it dammit).
Because of that I'll be willing to let it go for only 400$ Any takers? Hello? Why are you all laughing?
Sorta cool, I guess. I didn't realize games had ratings back then. For some reason I thought it started with this gen.
Jay, ratings started during the Super Nintendo's lifetime.
Who here remembers the "K-A" rating? haha.
I also had that Resident Evil edition. BTW, they were not "DVD sized" cases, they were quite a bit bigger, taller, and made of hardassed plastic. This is highway robbery if they are selling it at that price.
Do you have to be a master of unlocking to get through the packaging?
Honestly, I don't think that line will ever get old.
Can you say "shrinkwrap machine" ?
yeah fuckin' right. this going for over $500? i've seen one on ebay already bidded on for up to $51. then i checked again when was gonna end it skyrocketed up to $405. i was sad cause i wanted to win but not for that much. then i saw it be relisted cause the guy didn't pay, haha.
so i bid on it about 5-10 minutes before it would end and won it for $155 factory sealed. talk about luck i guess.
and my friend said they run for $250-500.
i've been collecting everything i could, mostly sealed games and action figures and books, ect. only in the U.S. though. haven't thought about doing imports.
