With a mission statement like this:
To assist in the proliferation of females in gaming genres of all types and to help raise awareness of the female gaming audience among game publishers and advertisers. To make the gaming industry take women gamers seriously and to treat them with respect as equals.
...you'd be right to be a little suspicious of the Miss Video Game pageant. Raising awareness to publishers and advertisers specifically can mean only one thing: the Miss Video Game pageant is a flimsy excuse to see some desperate bints parade their mad skillz while sticking their jubblies out.
Need proof? Let's examine Tatiana, Germany's contestant. Tatiana plays...snake. On her phone. For less than three hours a week. Way to go, Tatiana. You're really advancing the cause, there, what with your only notable contribution being your profile pic, which has you...sticking your jubblies out.
Why the masquerade? If you want a beauty pageant for lonely nerds and sweaty-palmed advertising types, just hold one, there's a sizable existing market for it. There's no need to go insulting female gamers by claiming you're trying to "advance their cause".
