According to Richard Teversham, a marketing manager for Xbox Europe, Microsoft's going to fight back against the PS3 launch with some surprises of their own.

"I don't want to reveal any plans at the moment because we want to keep a number of surprises up our sleeve. We will ensure we are good value and we'll do that through having a variety of pricing on games, a variety of pricing on console offers," said Richard Teversham, a marketing manager for Xbox Europe, in an interview with MCV UK publication.

Some are speculating this refers to a price drop, but my bet is his comment about "a variety of princing on console offers" is probably more along the lines of bundling, where the 'discount' actually comes out of the profit margin of the bundled games or accessories, not the cost of the 360 itself.
