With Phoenix Wright largely out of the picture in the fourth Gyakuten Saiban (Ace Attorney in the West) legal adventure, Nintendo DS gamers are going to have to welcome a new protagonist to the series. Already a smash hit in Japan, Gyakuten Saiban 4 features Housuke Odoroki as the lead attorney, with Wright limited to a cameo role, meaning Capcom USA has a marketing challenge on its hands.

Enter Apollo Justice! If a recent filing with the US Patent and Trademark Office uncovered by NeoGAFer Aokage is being interpreted correctly, not only does Gyakuten Saiban 4 have a better chance of coming stateside, Apollo may just be the series' new star.

While not set in stone, it looks likely that if Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney 3: Trials and Tribulations is a hit, Apollo Justice may be making his way to DS Lites in the not too distant future. Michael McWhertor
