If you live in the Los Angleles area and are fan of the Castlevania series, there is golden opportunity for you to spend some quality time with Castlevania producer Koji Igarashi. To promote the launch of Castlevania X, on the PSP, Mr. Igarashi will be appearing at the Universal City Walk EB Games on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. He will be signing autographs and posing for photographs with fans and hopefully he'll be wearing the jaunty hat shown in the photo.

OMG he looks like the villain from the Cowboy Bebop Movie!
He just can't be serious with that hat. Can't.
... that is all.
Hey! You can ask him why Dracula is always such a shit endboss.
Aw, man. IGA?! Wish I was in the area. D:
Noone ever comes out here...
@Lissar:
Sure he can. I think hats are way cooler than baseball caps for instance, shows he doesn´t give a shit about how other people dress themselves. Hope he uses it. :)
Wouldn't it make more sense to do this when the game actually comes out?
@creid: He's probably in LA doing interviews prior to the game's release and decided to do this while he's here. It gives fans a chance to meet him and will sell a lot of existing Castlevania games as well as get EB a bunch of preorders for the new one.
It's not the most logical order to do it in, but if the alternative is for him just to fly back to Japan and not do a signing event then this is better.
@AvocadoOverboard: ...He really, really does. Man, I wish I lived in L.A., so I could show up dressed like Spike, yell "VINCENT!" and then get uncerimoniously dragged away by security.
I've not been following (or noticing) this game at all, is this the same Castlevania X that was released on a dozen different systems?
That is a nice EB games. It's very, very big, and it was the first place I got a chance to play a PS3.
He did a video interview with 1UP a while back, and he was wearing that hat, a black T-shirt, and black leather pants with cowboy boots. Badass.
@Tatortot: It's a remake of Chi no Rondo for the PC Engine, a direct port of the original and Symphony of the Night in one compilation.
That's pretty cool, didn't the Dead Rising creator do the same thing?
I thought that was todays arcade flyer for a second.
Someone needs to prod him to release Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles on XBLA also, I'd pay $30 for it without a second thought. I love Rondo of Blood.
@Mr.Waffleton:
Why? SotN is already on XBLA. This is for the PSP ONLY 360 fanboy! Go try to steal some Wii games.
I heard SOTN do not have the missing maps from the Sega Saturn Version.... :(
Warms me ol' heart to see that they're sticking closer to the Symphony of the Night art style on what I'm assuming is the box art for Dracula X Chronicles. Not that there's anything terrible about the anime look they gave the DS games, it just didn't seem to really fit the series all that well.
@chazkramer:
Keiji Inafune, aka Inafking.
Geez, all he's done for Capcom (Megaman, Onimusha, Dead Rising, etc.) and there are still people that don't know his name? This makes me a sad Bamboo Pandamonium. :(
Man, I would love to have cool gaming celebrities come to my store...too bad I work in Boulder, CO where nothing happens. NetDevil's here, and we get to talk to the guys working on the Lego MMO, which is cool, but man, I want me some hot Iga action.
It was awesome.
