Admit it, the only reason you read the New York Times movie reviews is to feel good about yourself. Either you want to watch them savage a movie you know sucks, or reaffirm your excellent judgment. One of the writers at RedAssedBaboon rails against this idea. (Full disclosure: I helped found RAB before coming over to Kotaku.) He came up with his very own set of consumer-centric questions for writing game reviews that matter. At the heart of the issue is whether we should be writing critical reviews of games or be giving consumer advice.
