Nintendo UK have spoken about a few more details on Mario Striker's online play. The best part? If you're the type who likes your teammates nice and close, you're being looked after.

The game is going to allow 2v2 "shared" matches, which means two players can share the same Wii while they take on two players sharing another Wii. Sounds good to me, sports games always go better with high-fives.

Also revealed is that random matches will be region-locked. So no cross-continental or cross-hemispheric showdowns unless you've got a friend code collection.
