Great film.
OH... by no way does the pyro sound like a woman. Its a follow up of another thread....
yea, great film. I feel kind of bad for pyro.
I just discovered Lit Fuse and I am enjoying it immensely. I do believe I can define their stuff as "art".
These TF2 movies are absolutely brilliant. This is the best one yet. The part where he keeps killing the scout made me WwW.
And, in my opinion, TF2 has the best stylistic graphics I've ever seen. I literally can't watch a scout run without laughing. Every model, the environments, the effects, everything looks just just so damn cool.
Now, the eternal question: Do I buy on 360 or PC? I already have HL2 and Ep 1 on PC, but I know a 360 owner who's going to get it, and I prefer to play team games (TF2) with people I know.
Really great stuff. It shows why TF2 is so much fun. Well, if there are other people in the server that is...
Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.
Thought it was pretty boring to be honest... quite amusing at the part where he was messing with the cow and killing the scout outside the spawn, but otherwise pretty average stuff. I suppose I'll check out the rest of their stuff later on.
Not that I'm not a fan of TF2 - I love it to bit, but considering the amount of character and animation available in the classes I thought they could have been put to more use for a machinima.
really sweet. it wasnt meant to really advertise tf2 but it pretty hyped me up twice as much for the game.
did mess with machinima for a day with halo. it was fun making a ghost fly over tons of stuff and random rockets ruining stuff. its tough yet fun work!
Great flick! Now if only TF2 looked like that on my PC...
It's been ages since I played the original TF, so I can't even remember its classes. My experience with RtCW has me wondering if the pyro class in TF2 will be banned from the majority of servers or mercilessly TK'd. I loved being a soldier with a flamethrower in RtCW, but it was virtually impossible to locate a server on which you could do so.
About 5 mins too long, but fun all the same.
Damn, that music is awesome. Reminds me of Monkey Island.
My favorite TFC class ever..*sniff* sorry, I need some time to get myself out of this nostalgia moment.
This game looks as good as Pixar. Any one notice that?
Cute. Made me laugh a few times. Good job.
Man, I love these things. Keep em coming!
I don't have any speakers on me (Public computer, no sound), but this worked beautifully as a silent film. I'm almost afraid to watch it again at home, might spoiler the quiet elegance of it.
Ooo more please.
That was just awesome though, but I still love the Heavy Weapons Guy the best.
Whenever I see really good machinima like this I wonder how long is it going to take before they make a game that's designed just to make machinima with? Especially with co-op online you could really do a pretty good Hollywood sim. With all the stuff they did with multiplayer maps, the Forge and saved films, i nominate Bungie for this task.
Fun, but way too long.
awesome
I watched it this morning. Other than it being a tad more long-winded than it should had been, it's very, very good.
The music is just awesome ! Where could I find this song...
It's well made, but it really is just a guy running around a map for 8 minutes. Kind of boring, I thought. Looooooved the music, though.
I <3 it
I <3 pyro
but above all
I <3 TF2
I just realised that I posted my original comment in the wrong movie thread D:
Although this one is cool too but yeah kinda long.
They really need to cut some time from that and tighten it up. The pacing is way too slow..
it was simply perfect. pitch perfect. timing, pace, cinematics, style ... wow. i wish it was longer. just brilliant. ^_^
Mm, it's about a lonely guy, right? I think the "boringness" is intentional. I enjoyed it.
i can't be the only one who was just waiting for him to set the cow on fire.
damn i can't wait to play this!

I thought Bungie built in useless features as far back as Halo 2 (such as a head tilt) which added nothing to the actual game but were tailored precisely for the needs of Machinima makers.
I loved it. I loved the music, I loved the art, and I loved the humor.
That was very, very, very awesome.
That was really good, made me laugh when he was just running back and forth capturing intel/flags. I've been there man, I've been there...
That was awesome, subtle, deep, funny. The TF2 art style is such a great source to work from, I hope to see more from them.
A real pleasant surprise too, given that most other Machinima is idiot humour shit. Especially as the last Lit Fuse film I saw, Combine Nation, was an abhorrent humourless piece of trash.
@Pezdispenser: Same here...no speakers here at work...but it was a great silent film hehe. Missed the Pyro's "Hello!!" though hehe.
@etchasketchist: It's called Garry's Mod. Absolutely no point whatsoever other than creating things (games, machinima, toys, whatver) out of whatever objects or tools you want.
To me, half this movie was the music. It just worked so perfectly, was so calming and charming, I really want an mp3 to play as I walk. It is pure joy.
I found it interesting (ok we're going into machinima technicals here...) that they decided to use some shots with simple mouse panning while others certainly looked like they required gamepad usage to achieve. That kind of inconsistency took me out of the film for a couple of moments but overall this film is certainly wonderful.
That was great. I loved the music.
lol good o'l pyro. personally my unit of choice.
i love the animation scheme they used for tf2. it's hilarious.
hah a love the scount domination
Further proof that the pyro is adorable.
@kevinski: You can't TK. There isn't even the option to turn on friendly fire (apparently it would actually break things). So, feel free to light up a whole room with your flamethrower. Only enemies will burn. :-D
The music was so amazing
@montgoss: Which is also why pyros are such a pain when you're a spy :(
Actually felt a bit emotional when watching this, brilliant stuff.
Love the title. Ignis Solus. Truely an amazing video.
@geekgrrl: EXACTLY!
Absolutely amazing video and yeah I felt sorry for that lonely pyro, rather emotional video. I really didn't expect that at all.
Now if only Red vs Blue was made in TF2...
very nice work
Now that... that was a beautiful video. I'm not sure any other character could have pulled it off. The curious, anticipating stare comes off so well when you can't see his eyes behind the mask.
Genius.
Wow, very well done! Contrasts with how crazy the character introduction movies are... and really gets across what it feels like to be alone on a large map, trying to amuse yourself.
The Pyro is the perfect character for this.
@montgoss:
Valve took out TK'ing in an update not very long after the release of the beta. FF on makes spies even more powerful.
Strangely soothing, I loved it.
Also, I'm choosing Pyro when I get TF2, apox on your Heavy.
Another great video!
