Lucky Star Used For Prostitution Advert

Manga Lucky Star is pretty popular in Japan! The manga's characters play video games, and Lucky Star itself has already gotten a couple of DS games as well as a PlayStation 2 visual novel. Nerds love Lucky Star. Probably why the owner of this Osaka "delivery health" shop (think outcall call girl business) decided to use characters Kagami and Miyuki. Also, Kagami is a fan of shooting games — as in video game shooting games. Ah, nevermind.

Lucky Star To Get Shit-Faced With

Lucky Star... sake? Starting tomorrow, a Saitama Prefecture liquor shop will begin selling limited edition bottles of Lucky Star sake. The anime/manga/video game franchise is set in Saitama. The sake is probably just regular sake with a Lucky Star label slapped on it.

Bandai Makes Lucky Star Fugly

Ack! POM-POM HANDS!! Here's a toy figurine of Tsukasa Hiiragi from Lucky Star. It's made by Bandai, better known for its Gundam modeling. At ¥850 (US $8.45), it's certainly not an upper end figure as clearly even by its overall freakish appearance. We're sure it has a good personality, though.

Haruhi, Lucky Star, Nazis

Over the weekend, garage kit convention Tokyo Wonder Festival kicked off. Cosplayers came in droves, dressing up as everything from Haruhi Suzumiya to Lucky Star or from Haruhi Suzumiya to Dead or Alive's Kasumi or from Haurhi Suzumiya to Nazis. Always marvel at folks who think dressing up as genocidal killers is a good idea. (Hey, maybe they're getting ready for Indy 4! Oh, wait...) Click through the gallery below for pics.

Lucky Star and Ronald McDonalds, So Hellish!

This isn't just creepy. No, no, no. It's terrifying and creepy! Creepily terrifying! Here, Ronald McDonalds are mashed with the Lucky Star opening. For those who've forgotten (or just really like) the original Lucky Star opening, it's after the jump! More »

Pro Evolution Made Unsettling

Holy cow this is freakazoid! And man, my freakazoid tolerance is really high. Someone skinned nerd characters into Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer, complete with gianormous eyes. Those characters include the girls from Lucky Star, L from Death Note, Haruhi Suzumiya and Yoda among others. The video is kinda slow starting off, but stick around for the truly bizarre stuff.

Adult Lucky Star Twinkles Out Early

It had to happen. The Lucky Star dirty movie Kira Suta has finally come out. The DVD hit retailers in Den-Den Town. Here's the kicker: The flick was slated for release on November 23rd, but released itself a week, well, prematurely. The reason for this? There was a pre-release event in Den-Den Town. And, no, I did not go. And, no, I am not lying.

Promote Smut with Schoolgirl Uniform

Yes, yes, popular anime Lucky Star has gotten its game adaptations and even its shameful movie adaptations. So how does one go about promoting said shameful movie adaptations? With, you guessed it, schoolgirl uniforms. In Den-Den Town, this in-store display features a Lucky Star uniform in hopes of encouraging something whether that be a purchase or not. The little notice attached to the skirt says things like "(Especially in the breast vicinity) Touch." YEP! Gotta give the wizards at Japan's nerd stores credit. They sure as shit know how to promote things!

Shameful DVD Compilation

Relax, it's Kotaku After Dark. You know, when the questionable posts appear among hushed whispers and raised eyebrows. Some of the questionable game/anime influenced adult videos we've previously covered here are getting a 2 hour DVD release. Yes, that's right, hot tears of shame versions of Haruhi Suzumiya, Lucky Star and Faith/stay Knight. Since Faith/stay Night was already an erotic computer game, we prefer to think of that as a film adaptation. The DVD will out early next year, but our embarrassment will continue long after.

Cute Virtual Idol Sings Game Tunes

What's all the rage in nerdland? This. That is a clip of "Cute Pop Idol" Miku Hatsune (ミクåˆéŸ³), who's name means "Future" (ミク=未æ¥=Miku) "First Sound" (åˆ=hatsu=first 音ï¼neï¼sound). She is a hugely popular character in Yamaha's singing synthesizer application Vocaloid2. Here's the interesting bit: The vocal software is tweaked especially for J-pop anime-type songs. The software is apparently way easier to learn than stuff pros use, so otaku are easily able to create things like the this melody from THE iDOLM@STER, Super Mario RPG, Megaman, Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Haruhi and Lucky Star. Epic. Thanks, Miki for the tip!

Lucky Star's Take on Final Fantasy

More game Lucky Star mash-ups! They're endless!! This time the popular anime is crossed with Final Fantasy VI Advance. This combination actually works in a very kooky way.

Lucky Star, Haruhi Get Dirty Together

From the same people who brought you both the Lucky Star vacuum bed *and* the Haruhi Suzumiya vacuum bed, come this Lucky Star-meets-Haruhi-meets-blue-man-in-skirt porn. That's putting those costumes to good use. So both Japanese animations have not only the distinction of getting handheld and console games, but also appearing in the same dirty movie. With a dude in blue!

Hit the jump for the blue dude in a Haruhi skirt. Did we mention it's NSFW? Well, it's NSFW.

Lucky Star with Dudes in Dresses

Lucky Star anime openings are a dime a dozen. But, this, this is different. This is epic. Apparently, it was done by a bunch of high school physic club members for a school festival. What it has to do with physics, I have no clue. Who cares? It's totally awesome.

Shoot Pikachu GTA-Style

Ah, yes. Lucky Star. Fairly innocuous stuff! Perfect fodder for an unsettling mod that puts characters from the popular anime in Grand Theft Auto. If that wasn't enough, how about adding Pikachu, Doraemon and Metal Gear. That tune from F-Zero is pretty jazzy as well. GTA with Anime Twist

Another Lucky Star Dirty Vid, This One Freaky

There's not one, but two (count 'em!) Lucky Star adult video adaptations. The anime already has a DS game and is getting a PS2 incarnation this November. So lucky. And just yesterday we featured smut flick Kira Suta, which put too much effort in puns and chocolate buns, but not enough in hair dye. Enter porno actress Yuria Hidaka. She's got the hair color, the cowlick and the clothes right. The rest is very, very wrong.

Know this: While the above photo is innocuous enough, there is a freakazoid picture after the jump. It does not contain any nudity or bodily fluids whatsoever, but is VERY MESSED UP. So! If you are the type to be offended by, say people in shrink-warp, then move along. Everyone else, click at your own risk!

Lucky Star, The Adult Movie

This November, anime Lucky Star won't only get a PlayStation 2 game, it will also get a porno. Talk about getting lucky! Adult video maker TMA will be making a "parody" called Kira Star. Just like Lucky Star, Kira Star, which means "twinkle star" in Japanese, will be written in hiragana, creating a clever Japanese visual pun: "Raki Suta" (らãã™ãŸ) and "Kira Suta" (ãらã™ãŸ). Geddit? So clever! For now, the hungry lady in the picture is dressed as main character Konata Izumi. Not surprised that this is being made, but we're surprised it's taken so damn long!

Lucky Star Gets Lucky with PS2

If anime The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya gets a PS2 game, it would be a dame shame if anime Lucky Star didn't. Fret not! This November, Lucky Star *is* getting a PlayStation 2 title. Players will take on the role of a new, original character, and the title is apparently an "adventure game." Doubt it'll live up to the anime's opener. Heck, the anime doesn't even live up to it!

And yes, hit the jump for the Lucky Star opening.

Zelda Meets Lucky Star

Even if the Haruhi has officially creeped me out, there's always the Lucky Star anime opening. Not as slick as the Haruhi dance, but pretty catchy! Here's the Zelda take on it, complete with Triforces being tossed into the air. It was done by David Wagstaff, who writes:
After seeing a couple of Lucky Star intro parodies I decided to make my own using the Zelda models that were ripped by someone a while ago. Rigging each model ready for animation was pretty lengthy but animating them was alot of fun.
Creepy, but not *that* creepy! Hit the jump for the original, which is creepy in its own right. More »
