Welcome to the lamest collector's edition extra ever.
EB games is listing the Lost Planet CE at $69.99. What do you get for your extra ten bucks? Why, how about the swank "Steelbook Packaging" (your guess is as good as ours... I assume some sort of metallic fold out DVD case), a 24 page art manual and this doozy: "a Token Card to download a new Multiplayer Map on Xbox Live Marketplace."
And this is what microtransactions invariably mean: content that gets cut out of the retail version of the game to be sold to you for a few extra bucks later. I suppose developers should take what money they can get, but it sits poorly for me, and I wish the rest of you people would stop supporting the model. The obvious end result of this is buying every asset of a game separately.
