Sony Computer Entertainment got an international bitch slap in court last week. The company was ordered to pay $90 million in damages and to stop selling their Playstation and Playstation 2s. Ummmmm, that's no good. The suit stems from allegations that Sony infringed on Immersion's game controller vibration technology. Am I the only one who finds it funny that something that vibrates is screwing Sony. Ok, maybe I am. Anyway, Sony is appealing the decision by the federal district court.
Fortunately for everyone, especially Sony, the company will still be able to sell their PSOne's, PS2s, controllers and games until the appeal is decided. Lets hope the appeals process outlives the PS2.
