Korea: Sucks For Console Gamers (No Duh)

In Korea, computers rule. Console owners face store shelves lacking section and lengthy localization delays for PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360 game titles. Not only that, some "American specific" titles are just not released. Says Xbox 360 owners Lee Yo-han:

Things are better now, but still you've got limited choices in game titles, and you may wait for three or four months to buy some games, which have already been released in other countries.

A few month wait is normal for North America or, in many cases, Europe. So, it's the wait after the wait that's slowing down the metabolism of the Korean game industry—especially considering how geographically close the country is to Japan. And the black market, selling illegally pirated games, thrives.
