The internet has been abuzz with rumors that Kojima Productions will bring the PlayStation 3 showcase title Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots to the Xbox 360. Despite Microsoft's Japanese woes, Kojima has called the 360 "more down to earth" and likened the console to a "great dinner, great steak with their family, a little bit more casual during the weekends." Which, I guess, is a good thing. Maybe?

So, Konami, is there any basis to the rumor that the PS3 flagship title will jump to the 360? Not so, says a company spokesperson to CVG:

Konami has no plans to bring Metal Gear Solid 4 to the Xbox 360 at this time. [It's] exclusive to PlayStation 3.

Yeah, I don't believe it either. That get-out-of-exclusivity-"at this time"-statement should worry the PS3 faithful who'd probably appreciate a more definitive statement from Kojima himself. But when they do announce MGS4 for Xbox 360, don't take it personally, kids. It's just business. Michael McWhertor
