Koji Kondo doesn't get out much, which makes his appearances at GDC this year all the more special. Not only is he giving a talk at the conference ("Painting an Interactive Musical Landscape"), but he's now also going to be performing at the Video Games Live Show on March 9. Expect note-perfect renditions of the Mario and Zelda themes, regardless of how sick he must be of playing/hearing them by now.
Kondo doesn't do this very often, so if you get the chance, part with the cash and see a true genius in action. Oh, and for the love of God, take pictures.
