In a recent video interview with game site Kikizo, Capcom's Keiji Inafune talks more about what influenced Lost Planet. When work began on the project three years ago, the conflict in Iraq was just starting to brew. Kikizo reports that Inafune wanted to infuse the game with a vague sense of morality and that not everyone is either "good" or "bad." Besides riffing on political issues, Inafune also gave nods to John Carpenter's The Thing and Starship Troopers. Check it out, because Inafune, as always, is a fantastic interview.
