Looks as if Japanese gamers are going to get to try out Playstation 1 games on their PSPs via the PS3 starting tomorrow. Eight games are set to go on sale via the "Game Archives" section of the Japanese PS3 store, each costing 525 yen, or roughly $4.50 in US dollars.
Games include Resident Evil Director's Cut, some Konami Antiques volumes, Arc the Lad, Hot Shots Golf, Tekken 2, and the single greatest robotic bunny game ever available for the PSX, Jumping Flash. The games are downloaded to the PS3, then transferred to the PSP. Eventually Sony will 'upgrade' the PS3 to play the games without its portable pal.
No word yet on US releases, but if Jumping Flash isn't included I am going to set the building on fire.
