    EA Eyes The iPhone

Just when I thought it was safe to leave the iPhone news to the gadget sites, the senior VP of Electronic Arts Mobile Mitch Lasky lets slip that the company is in talks with Apple to produce games for the much drooled-over iProduct.

Speaking to Business Week, Lasky said, "We have been talking to Apple about games on [the iPhone].

"We see a lot of the technology that we've utilised on the iPod side being incorporated into the iPhone."

No real surprise here. EA has already produced games for the iPod, and it is a well-known fact that EA will produce games for anything with a screen. N-Gage, Gizmondo, you name it. When you aren't home, EA devs are poking around your microwave ovens and electric ranges, trying to figure out the gaming angle.

I'm interested to see what the iPhone can do. If anything, good game support will justify the purchase to my girlfriend and my wallet, paving the way for me to one day star in an ad as a trendy silhouette.
