TrayGames is a curious looking application: essentially instant messenger, but for gaming. Instant (casual) gaming, if you like. It lives in your system tray, and is first and foremost a gaming app, something TrayGames stresses heavily:
If you are familiar with instant message clients like AIM or MSN Messenger you understand the idea, but TrayGames is much more than this. TrayGames is a multi-player game network with chat features, not an instant message program with games tacked on later.
It's a pretty shiny looking app, although I can't tell from the site whether it's open to pulling in AIM/ICQ/MSN contacts or not. It's in beta, though, so there's always time to tweak - one for you beta-rummagers.
