King of Kong Trash Talk

At the Florida Association of Mortgage Brokers (yes, I know), arcade champ Billy Mitchell posted the top Donkey Kong score. Previously, he lost it to unknown Steve Wiebe. But now that Mitchell has reclaimed his crown, what does Wiebe say?

I knew he wasn't going to take this lying down. And he knows I won't let him get the record and just go away quietly. So I'm going to start firing up the game again... So like I said, the saga continues. I know I can get a higher score than what he posted, and I plan on putting it to a level where he can't break it.

Take THAT!! Wiebe even offered Mitchell a chance to go head-to-head on the machines. We wait with bated breath.

Sheesh, what a sore loser. People like him don't even deserve to be posted about on Kotaku. But Mitchell did bring this upon himself by letting his last life run out by itself after he got the new high score. He should kept playing as long as he could to keep this from happening. Now Wiebe or whatever will just rig another board to say that he got the high score again.

After Mitchell beat this high score, he let the clock run out. Mitchell still had one Mario life left.

If you hold the record for a long time and it's not news. Someone beats you and you reclaim it, well, that gets you a post on kotaku if nothing else.

Why the hell is this Wiebe guy crying about what he PLANS to do? Go do it, Mr. Wiebe, and hope you can end on as classy a note as Mitchell did.
