BSG Advergame Channels Every Extend Extra

Casual game developer Blackdot has created one of the best Battlestar Galactica video games ever by taking a proven concept and slapping on Battlestar graphics. Raptor's Revenge, the free to play advergame created to coincide with the release of Battlestar Galactica: Razor on DVD, is pretty much Every Extend Extra. Your Raptor is out of guns and has switched to nukes, seemingly detonating itself amidst waves of Cylon forces, creating chain reactions that take out massive numbers of enemies at a time. It actually plays pretty well, and would be quite enjoyable if not for the long, unskippable trailer that plays out before every game. Annoying, but necessary. Them DVDs ain't gonna sell themselves now.

Yeah, apparently the sales+ratings of razor will help determine if the New Caprica series gets made...so if you care at all about getting more BSG after CY 2008 you should go buy the DVD, instead of getting the video from...other sources like I know many do.

OK, now I'm pissed, Shockwave player for Mac is still Rosetta-only? I hate to have to boot into XP just to play this game, even if it is way better than that abomination on XBL (haven't played it yet, but it almost has to be better by default).

Oh well.

@DaiMacculate: whats wrong with the one on xbl? i liked it so much i bought it, rare for arcade titles, but ive never played other every extend extras. so you tell me what im missing.

ps. i play e4 with hellmarch as a custom soundtrack. my friends and i compete to earn the biggest score off it now and then. its pretty sweet.

no commercials for me, and no ripoff games liek this one either, i usually dont mind clones but i got to respect the EE creator, he kind of got shafted.

@red: Its one of the only games in recent memory to make me nauseated while playing, literally from the way the screen scrolled. Maybe there is a good game in there and I just need some pills for my stomach first, but usually my stomach is solid on games where others complain (the recent Marathon 2 XBLA port comes to mind).

I'm sorry, I just realized it might not have been clear, I was talking about how bad the Sierra-produced BSG game was on XBLA, I haven't played E4 yet and have nothing against it ;)
