Anyways, obligatory "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO T_T" starts here.

Before the flaming starts.. If nintendo needs more time to get it right, they can take 3 months if that is what they need.

That's not so bad. 2 month delay. I already have more than enough holiday games to play.

Kinda figured this was coming after the Japanese delay. Still, not all bad, I've got the time to play some Fire Emblem and Trauma Center, and if Twilight Princess is any indication, Nintendo delays are usually worth it.

Holidays Ruined is a new tag just for this delay?

I guess Kotaku really does care about Smash.

I guess the Wii's will just be sitting on the shelf this christmas.

I'm not totally surprised...I have to say though this game looks vast! I'm a bit intimidated! (Looks amazing too!)

Sounds good to me, that way i don't have to spend so much fucking money in all the games i wanna buy and gives me time to play others :oD

At least I won't have to rush through Fire Emblem and Mario Galaxy before devoting myself to Brawl. Still, disappointing. Wii parties will have to continue to include Melee instead.

2 weeks after Japan? Give me a break Nintendo. I didn't have much for this holiday since I only own a Wii, and now you've lowered it to only one game. Thank you Nintendo.

Cons
- it's a delay and I wanted it yesterday.

Pros
- more weekly Dojo stuff will make the Final Fantasy character reveals that much more exciting (probably various job classes, but I'd kill for a Edgar or Sabin)
- My game list for the next three months just dropped from around $800 to around $750
- maybe they are adding new stuff (e.g. headsets to appease the whiners).

I don't see why everyone is so surprised at nintendo delaying a 1st party game. Look how long it took to get twilight princess out on the GC.

It's cool with me, actually it gives my bank account a little break, not like there's not a ton (or fuckton) of games coming out over the next couple of months.

Between PH, Dementia, Manhunt 2, and a number of backlogged games I've yet to finish - I need that little break...not to mention SMG, which will prolly consume my entire xmas break from work.

and anytime Nintendo says dev's need more time - most times that works out for the best for everyone....unless it's a zelda delay....then we really can't see why the game was delayed...oh I don't wanna get into that!

Sucks, but maybe with the extra time, they can balance the Blue Bomber's abilities so he's not too powerful.

I still have PS2 games that came out last year that I haven't gotten around to playing (I have a nasty habit of restarting RPG's from scratch if I can't remember where I am).

Hoping for more 3rd party characters :D

Wow, it took ONE comment to toss the PS3 delay record right in there with this one. Even though the commenter wasn't being mean or anything remotely close to mean its just become funny now that as soon as people say the word "delay" it is immediately associated with "PS3"

I don't really care about smash, but I'm sure this sucks hard for a lot of gamers out there. I'm not gonna make excuses, delays suck. I'm not surprised though.

I have yet to see a game come out bad because of a delay by Nintendo. So if they need three months, thats fine with me.

I was really looking forward to Christmas break with this game.

Oh thank the gods! This is great news, one less game to buy for Christmas and a decent game coming out next year between Jan - Aug. Whats not to love?

Only way this could be good is if they're taking more time to put a FF character in it.

After TF2 and Hellgate, this was my most anticipated fall/holiday game.

Thank god. I want them to delay this game as long as they need. I'll be playing this game for years on end, and if a few months lets them add something as small as 1 new item, it'll be worth it.

No worries, still got more than 10 unopened games, where 4 of them are long RPGs that needs to be played anyway.

Maybe developers shouldn't spout off release dates until they actually have a fucking clue when their games are coming out.

While I'm upset, I AM looking forward to the extra weeks of Dojo updates. For the most part - especially lately - they've been fun and exciting.

Let's see, Nintendo, now that you have no good games this holiday season, when I've got plenty of loose cash on my hands, I might just shell out for a 360 so I can play Mass Effect. And then my gaming budget will be split between two consoles.

That is Okay! because number one, Nintendo and Sega answered the demands of adding Sonic into the game, we should give them time to tune that up. Maybe they will add more characters from Sonic Team. Even better, we all probably know that Halo 3 will be game of the year, if SSBB came out this year, it would probably have no chance because of all the hype of Halo 3, next year the game will be improved and could possibly be Game of the year. I hope Super Mario Galaxy gets game of the year.

Ugh... speculate on characters at the smash world forums... and keep this topic on subject.

Anyways... this gives me a little more time to lock down a Wii. They are STILL non-existent in Orange County, CA.

The Wii is like the Yeti out here, scarce as hell and the only proof of their existence is the occasional obscured/blurry picture.

Oh well, Europe wasn't getting it in 2007 anyway.

When they get to demo this game, someone BETTER pick Zelda, and someone BETTER hit DOWN B. Delay sucks, but are you new to Nintendo? I expect another delay before the real release date, haha.

With all these delays, this holiday season may have SEEMED full of games, but in reality, the releases are dropping one by one, turning it into a slightly above average holiday season.

There are so many other games coming out this year so the delay is fine. If you call yourself a gamer, and if you go to this site you probably are, you have to have more than just the Wii, you would miss out on too many great games.
