The movie looks like it will be good, but that game trailer makes no freaking sense.

My summer will require much more than this to be great.

The one on Youtube is the international trailer which is a bit different.

I remember the last one...I felt bad for those who didn't read the book, because I doubt they understood what happened.

Talk about a super duper Hollywood-ized film. Warner Bros really did a round with this one.

Very dark, very interesting, since the last time I read the book was... umm... when I was a sophomore or a junior in high school?

And the game looks so much more non-linear than the previous installments.

Let's just hope that the game isn't TOO easy and that Warner Bros. doesn't force the movie's running time to be cut down TOO much under the 3-hour mark. Make this film much shorter than that, and it's bound to be an incomprehensible mess that'll do nothing but disappoint the fans of the books.

I don't know...if I get the game, do I go for the Wii version for the obvious Wiimote applications, or do I get the 360 version for the HD graphics and--more importantly--Achievements that will invariably extend the game?

Movie looks good, I think there are a few diffrences though, since I dont remeber Harry flying in the city. The game looks like they too took a bunch of random cut scenes and mashed them together.

Id say this summer is going to be pretty decent movie wise.

I think I'm coming down with sequelitis.

A big year for sequels in games and movies.

I worked for a company that us do a game demo for the very first Harry Potter game since no one had the rights to it yet.

It was a pretty fun little demo especially for the PS2. EA of course threw so much money at the license rights our publisher balked. It didn't matter how good the demo was.

This game is looking really good for the Xbox 360. Doesn't show too much actual gameplay, just alot of in-game cutscenes but hope it turns out well.

If the guys who make the Harry Potter games can make the mechanics and story work anything like Bully (with magic), then it could be fantastic. Bully is one of my favorite things, but as soon as I started playing it, I thought "this would be *perfect* if it was at hogwarts"

THis title looks prutty solid to me. I never realy saw the Harrie Potter-movies cause the lack of intress. But if this was a game without that I would have definitely checked it out. (I hope this was the wii trailer tho)

I really hope the animations in the game trailer are placeholders - the characters move like robots, not people.

Anyone who wants a 'darker' Harry Potter movie has some sort of weird problem in their brain. Like a tumor or something.

I think this is going to end up on the "trailer is better than the actual movie" list, along with 300 and various others.

@Sturm Truppen: I agree with most of your points on those movies i was simply pointing out the big movies coming out this summer. Although i have to disagree with the Bourne Ultimatum and Live Free or Die Hard. The first 2 Bourne movies were great, and i expect this one to be as good. And well you cant go wrong with a Die Hard sequel. Mindless action movies dont get better then Die Hard. Also Halloween is rob zombies remake of the origonal Halloween.

@RedShell: The books are a lot darker than the movies. While the first two where written with young kids in mind (more to do with publishing rights than how they where actually written, its pretty well known they where cut down a lot from their original drafts) they have gotten progressively darker and darker as they go along. The last one was probably the bleakest of them all, ending almost Empire Strikes Back like. And with at least 2 more main characters known to be dying by the end of the last book, you cant get more dark than that and still have a happy ending.

i can never bring myself to watch harry potter, the acting is just too horrific. i swear the kid that plays harry was chosen purely for his face, he's fucking shit.

The book Mad-Eye Moody would be having a fit if they were flying through the middle of London like that where anyone might see. That segment of the book involves a lot of crafty flying and dodging to avoid precisely that!

The film has to be darker, because the book's extremely so, particularly Umbridge, but from the trailer it looks like they got her just right. Time will tell... but I'm much more excited about book seven.

Unfotunately, I read the books, therefore I have a hard time enjoying the movies and can't even touch the games.

I only had to read the first sentence of this article, and I knew it was written by Kim Phu. She has a very different uh.... style of writing. Very distinctive. With the swearing and whatnot.

Wow, I completely forgot delores umbridge. I only remember dumbledore dying. Maybe I should re-read it..... no, nevermind.
