Well, either Haruhi is a 3D model, or the animation team have some of the best damn key animators I've seen in quite a while.

I've never seen Haruhi before this (don't much follow anime, save for Ghost in the Shell), and I have to say, I'm impressed.

How here agrees with me that a Hare Hare Yukai dance scene would have been excellent for a Ouendan-type game?

they make a porn out of nearly every property in japan. that's nothing special. while the dance also seems nothing special to me, typical parapara fare, the animation deserves a nod. while most anime seems to be around 12fps, this vid, even in youtube form, seems to have enough fps that the animation actually looks good. now that's a feat for anime.

Haruhi is awesome, I can only hope for a game that combines rhythm, RTS, RPG, adventure gaming and disturbing exploitation of Asahina.

I just got the anime DVD from Bandai this morning and will likely watch it sometimes this weekend.Only sad thing about the Haruhi anime series is that there was only 12(or 14)episodes made before the team working on it at Kyoto Animation wsa ordered to start work on a sequel to another series.I know since Haruhi has now gotten so popular a anime sequel is in the works, but probably won't be out in Japan until year's end.

With the Haruhi and Full Metal Panic animation projects going to them,if Kyoto Animation can keep producing ongoing series or sequels for both every now and then, they're definitely going to be selling lots of dvds both in Japan and here in the U.S..

You know, the anime is actually pretty good. Just that the hyping killed it. It's like the first arc or two of Naruto. Hyped to the extreme.

I'm kinda excited for a Haruhi Game for the PSP though. There's something other than DJ Max and Bleach to play. :D

Hm - odds are this will be something like a traditional "dating sim" style game (since there are 3 female character to play with) - but my hope is that we'll see something cooler, like a music/rhythm game mixed in with crazy shooting sequences.

I like the show, though I am irritated that the DVD release is "in order" (the original showing had the shows out of order on purpose, which lead to a lot of mystery and interesting revelations - in order, the first 3 episodes are honestly rather boring).

Yeah, the first few episodes are out; the major story arc finishes with the second volume, out in about two weeks (July 3). And yes, it's amazing.

I'll be excited to see what Kyoto is willing to license - and what's willing to be MADE.
