Hardened British Convicts Given PS2s

britcrim.jpgOnce was a time a British subject convicted of a crime would be sent to Australia. Hard labour, long journey, risk of disease, was pretty awful. Now, though? More of a holiday, what with our infrastructure, cold beer and pleasant climate. So they need something else as a means of harsh, unforgiving punishment. Their answer: PlayStation 2s. Which actually are neither harsh nor unforgiving. It's been revealed that the British government have spent £15,000 installing 120 of them in prisons, mainly for young offenders. The term "at her Majesty's pleasure" has never been more apt.
