While this isn't exactly my style, I do appreciate the incredible paint job on this Premium 360 done by artist, Jeremiah Thiring. Jeremy's other work on PC cases was recently featured on the covers of several PC related magazines. Now he's expanding into custom painted video game systems and this is one of his first.
This one of a kind "MASTER CHIEF" Xbox 360 is completely hand airbrushed! (No photo Prints or Stickers Here Folks!) Not only does this 360 Depict Detailed Master Chief and engraved water filled "3" murals, It has a realistic stone effect and water drops that look like you could wipe them off!! As with all of our systems... Both of the wireless controllers have also been wrapped in 360 degrees of matching art!
Engraved water filled murals? Damn! The master chief portrait is impeccable, but I'm not sold on all those water droplets. They're extremely well done, but on the controllers it just looks kind of crusty, but that could just be the photograph.
This little beauty can be yours for $925 plus shipping and includes two wireless controllers, a game and all the necessary cables. More pics after the jump.

i..want...it...
Hawt.
Sweet.
don't..want...it...
it makes the 360 look as if it has some sort of a disease
It looks like it was thrown in a microwave. No thanks.
That's certainly cool, but $400+ cool? Probably not so much.
Nice, but not nearly a grand US nice.
Master Chief visits the moon?
Its impressive, but Ill stick to that Haruhi one.
Looks more rusted than wet to me.
Noooiiice!
definetly an impressive paint job but not something that would look good in my living rooom.
Hmm...
Standard anti halo comment...
or Standard anti case mod comment...
...both!
People with their halo obsessions makes me want to beat them over the head with their xboxes, they don't deserve them. Its nothing special.
Its an awful case mod, as previously stated, it looks like its been in a microwave. Approx 1 in 966,846 case mods will be even slightly better than utter shit. This is not one of those few.
This case mod is bitchin'!
F*ck you haters, if its not your style then thats fine, but the talent of the artist deserves to be recognized, i thought that shit was 3-d on first sight, great job!
I thought this was 3D too. It's pretty cool, though not my style.
That's a pretty sweet box. It's nowhere near that Zelda Wii...but not too bad.
It's a shame Halo sucks ass ;-)
Eh? I don't understand the hype over this paint job. It's very sloppy compared to many other airbrush jobs I've seen... this is just the kind of art you'd get from some guy at the mall.
Can it really be considered a case mod if all he did was paint it? I don't consider a paint job a "case mod" really, since he is not actually modifying the case, just the skin on the case. When I think of a "case mod" I think of actually changing the structure of a case, like PC cases that have been modded to include things as mundane as windows to as quirky as working espresso machines or artistic as adding actual three-dimensional sculpture to the case. At first it seemed to make sense that the art was a 3D sculpture blended onto the case (i.e. an epoxy-resin sculpture that was blended and secured on then painted over), as that is what it looks like. However; even though I don't consider it a case mod, it is a good paint job, even though I wouldn't buy it. The detail is impressive and realistic either way.
It's nice, but I think the Halo 3 logo and MC's helmet are just too much like the Tide logo on a racecar - why destroy the other beauty? The underlying job with the sort of dull, dark, decrepit look is very cool, though!
I, myself, will stick with my carbon-fiber wrapped 360 :)
Wow, so hot. But 925$? Sure, some Halo fan will buy it, but not mainstream gamers...
tttss good job!but is too expensive!i prefer the black xbox with 120 gb for 470 dlls
The price is high, but we have to consider the fact that this is, in fact, a piece of art. No I'm not a Halo fanboy (I hate the game), but I'm just trying to say that this was hand-made, and probably took a lot of time. The detail is already impeccable and the airbrushing is superb. Try strolling through an art store, and you'll find that the prices in there are equivalent to what you'll be paying on top of the xbox360 here.
It's nicely done. But too shiny,,, must be next gen!
Master Chief is done really nicely, but the "water droplets" look more like bubbles that are forming as the console melts. I never have been a fan of airbrushing to begin with.
t0yrobo: That's what it reminds me of! The bump-mapping in Halo 2! I always got the impression I was looking at some genius bit of artistic design through a blister-pack fetishist's glasses.
Dodgy bumps aside, it is a really understated and elegant bit of work.
I got a buddy in prison that will airbrush whatever you want on your 360 for a carton of Marlboro's.
Awesome...must buy...but i dont have 900$....Fuck.
Way too expensive but I so want it!
looks like someone barfed.
The airbrushed Master Chief is cool, but I don't dig the background. I think it should a little more like he's on Earth.. instead of a melted lump of shit...
Most of the people criticizing this painting probably couldn't draw a stick figure to save their lives. So sad.
"Those who can't create, criticize."
@cringer8:
And those who criticize can tell that this is a mediocre, overpriced piece of crap.
For that price, PS3 and other shit please.
I wonder if Bungie will try to pull it.
When this bricks, it will be an awesome work of art. Very impressive.
For that price, I could have a couple cases of piss, err I mean Fosters.
Anyone want to predict the amount of fried 360s that will result from excessive Halo 3 play? I'm guessing about 20-30k, and thats not counting the "refurbished" consoles...
I wish that was his "rough draft". I want him to do that to an Xbox 360 Elite and THEN I'd wish I could buy it.
@theberserker:
What are you talking about?
Hmm...
Am I the only one that thinks this mod looks a little busted?
I first looked at it and thought it was a burned 360.. LOL! It's not TOO uncommon. :P
The painting though, is VERY nice!
I don't care for the 360, I don't care for Halo, I don't care for the Master Chief, and I don't care for this console mod, but at least the guy who did it showed more artistic talent than the one who glued stock official Nintendo products to the sides of a Wii with a moderately nice paintjob. I mean, this guy actually used _skill_ to add the Halo elements to the design, and not just super glue and a screwdriver. And I guess, if you're into that whole "hyper-real, everythings's-in-shades-of-grey-and-brown" thing, this'd probably work for you. I'll give the guy props for being able to paint something other than textures and not completely make it look like it was drawn by a kindergartener, but I'll still pass.
Ok i give the artist credit because this is a really nice paint job but its one of the lowest mods ive seen for the 360 have a look here and see what a real mod looks like.... ( [us2.pixagogo.com]!lTZGFo5dJYcdjWgPIH968jV034jxD-Txyh3X/the-real-stuff.jpg ) this is one of the best ive seen apart from the Star Wars mods n stuff like this one.... ( [www.spong.com] )
