While many of you privileged Americans living in your land of gold and honey have long been enjoying the genius of Guitar Hero, we Europeans have been huddled over the carcinogenic coal fires in our Cold War era slums, warming out hands through a long, brutal winter so as not to catch frostbiteand lose the chance forever to play the PAL version of Guitar Hero whenever Sony deigned to drop it upon our shores.
Needless to say, when Guitar Hero was released a couple of weeks ago, I picked up a copy. I loved it. Now I'm trying to convince my friends to buy it so we can have some bitching duels. And this video is what I'm showing them to get their consumerist cravings going.
It's not the most amazing performance you'll ever see, but it's still pretty excellent, and most importantly, it is a video of both Guitar Hero and the guy playing the controller simultaneously. I'm posting it as a public service — it's been pretty successful in getting my friends interested in buying a copy, so if you've got a hold out friend who doesn't quite understand the appeal, show him this and see what he thinks.
