360 Guitar Hero: Online Content Bonanza

The appeal of the upcoming 360 version of Guitar Hero was never in the HD graphics. Or in that gaudy, white guitar. No, it was always going to be the downloadable content that got people losing their minds. Ted Lange, Associate Producer on the title, in an interview with IGN Australia:

IGN: Can you outline your plans for using Xbox Live to download fresh songs?

Ted Lange: We're still in the process of confirming the final details and continue to secure more licenses, though nothing has been announced at this time, we can definitely say nobody will be disappointed. We are planning on having more online content than anyone has ever seen in a game to this date.

Taking into account the fact planning and delivering aren't the same thing, this is still good, good news. Lots of tracks means lots of variety, which is always going to be the thing that keeps people interested in a music game; the more people find their tastes catered for with downloadable content, the more people will part with their cash.

Oh, Ted, some advice? A Kyuss song pack. Get on it.
