I'm not huge about Halo for the Xbox, so a Nintendo DS version of the game strikes me of a bad version of something I was never crazy about to begin with—like Paris Hilton with even less intellect and smaller boobs. I just can't get excited no matter how good she is with a "stylus." But according to Bungie, not only have they recieved pitches for a DS title all the time, some might have been fleshed out to varying stages of completion. Here's a transcript from an interview between Siliconera and Bungie's Brian Gerard and Frank O'Connor:
S: I think I'm going to ask the forbidden question... was there ever Halo for the DS?So there you have it! Halo does exist somewhere in miniature form...and it's calling your name, softly.FO: I believe we got pitched for it several times.
BG: Every once in awhile it comes up. Somebody out there some developer pitches and tries to make it happen.
FO: Microsoft does publish DS games or licenses them, I think to THQ.
BG: It's very likely that somebody at some point in time created a prototype and tried to pitch it.
