What the hell?
The Associated Press is reporting that Microsoft may begin offering "Xbox software" to outside companies in an attempt to bolster the popularity of their console.
Bill Gates made the confusing comments in Thursday's edition of Japanese business daily Nihon Keizai Shimbun. The comments were later confirmed by a Microsoft official.
The US software company is considering offering "the basic software" for Xbox, although no decision has been made, Microsoft Japan spokesman Kazushi Okabe said, confirming the Gates' comments reported in today's editions of Japan's top business daily Nihon Keizai Shimbun.
What he didn't say was what the software would be used in, whether it was Xbox or Xbox 360 software or, frankly, anything that would explain what the hell he was talking about.
I'm not sure whether to be expecting an Xbox refrigerator in the near future or a portable Microsoft console.
