Yet Another Girl Gamer Calendar

Let's make a girl gamer calendar. OK, what do we need, let me think. Girl in white teddy: Check. Girl with battle axe: Check. Girl with whip: Check. Girl dressed up as a devl: Check. Girl with a gun: Check. Girl doing anything even remotely gaming related: Naw.

For future reference, throw at least a generic controller in there for one photo if you're making a "gamer" calendar, otherwise just call it what it is a girly calendar.

  • the one with the horns looks like a dude

  • Girl + Gamer - Clothes =/= Hot all the time.

That one dressed as a devil....*shudder*

  • Gah where's my Morrigan Web callendar when I need it?!? at least she plays games!

  • eeeeeh... that scared me. Some of those girls are FUGLY ...

  • I second the first comment. Eww..

  • I'm not sure sticking a laptop in an image with a girl makes something a "girl gamer calendar." I mean, most girls I know that are HARDCORE video gamers don't even know where to BUY lingerie.

They'd sooner find it on the street and be confused as to which way to wear it.

And frankly, I don't really want a girl that loves video games. I don't think any guy really does. I think all we want is a girl that loves frequent sex. And that's enough, dammit.

    That's enough.

  • WHOA, Those bitches are nasty! Can't believe they'd put that shit out ... seriously, are they blind or just stupid? Those are some of he ugliest "gaming pin-up girls" I've ever seen. BLECH.

  • Must've been half off night at the strip club wen they shot this.

And lapdances there were 50 cents to begin with.

  • dude, while most of them look like tossaway shots from a D&D promo shoot, the Blonde on the red satin DOES have a classic NES style belt buckle. Yet one semi-sweet belt buckle does not a Gamer Girl Make.

  • Just to be a real d*ck, I want to point out that there is, in fact, a classic Nintendo controller on the waist of the girl in the red satin shot... ;)

The other nekkid calendar is better.

  • wow, what a load ofcrap. None of those girls were worth having on my wall next to my Lara Croft and Princess peach posters.

    gosh.

  • guh.

  • 1) These girls aren't hot.
    2) Keyboards do not equal "games."
    3) $20 dollars could be better spent.

  • LARP calendar . . .

  • I miss Eliza =(

  • Those chicks made my penis soft.

  • I just saw my keyboard in there!

In other news, this calendar sucks and I miss Eliza too =/

  • Wow, the Nerdcore calendar is way better than this. It was shot better, prettier women and just more professional looking overall.

  • Why is it that most porn sites on a budget of pocket lint manage to reel in better looking girls than this patronizing "girl gamer / nerd porn" crap we're always seeing?

Yes, people have to have abysmal standards to date a gamer but that doesn't mean gamers have abysmal standards.

  • Are all of you elitists now? You don't like the girls that are in this calendar, fine. That's your opinion, and you're free to have it. But, since when did insulting people become such a pastime? Anonymity of the internet, I suppose.

First off, every girl in this calendar is, indeed, a gamer. Just because a controller isn't surgically grafted to their hand doesn't mean that it isn't true. Secondly, what kind of a generalization is it to say that REAL gamers don't know how to buy or wear lingerie, or that a "keyboard does not equal games?" I'm not looking to make this into a personal attack on anyone, but, I'll make a fair bet that that's what this will be considered as. The fact that these girls are gamers doesn't mean that they're any less women. I assure you that just because someone plays games, they know how to do other things also. Sometimes many other things. And, a keyboard doesn't equal games? Last I checked, there was a whole section of games in stores that kinda require a keyboard. Unless I'm mistaken, those are pretty popular, along with those that require a controller.

You know what? Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But, how about checking more into what you have an opinion of before actually making it? Or is that too much to ask for when the grat pinnacle of "gaming" is supposedly threatened, or when internet anonymity is involved?

  • It was slightly heartwrenching to read your posts but please allow me to offer at least one other view point.

Gamer boys are spoiled by the fantasy - models hired for conventions, and the unrealistic, somewhat physically impossible video game women. This calendar represents the community of Gorgeous Gamers, i.e. real gamer girls who actually do play the games they claim to and are accessible through the site, through the community vent server and through the games we play. We weren't trying to be models. We were trying to be real women in the gaming world.

I also would like to make a point that although the photos may be 'stock' looking, I would like a recommendation of how we were supposed to be? I know that no one would want to see a picture of me in my real gaming habitat… comfy clothes, hair in a ponytail to work around the head mic and bleary eyed from the 2 am MC run surrounded by 10 cans of diet mountain dew.

So tell me… how many of you would kick me out of bed for keeping you awake from playing NWN2 all night on my laptop?

That's right, we don't want to see what girl gamers REALLY look like!

    Lie to us dammit!

  • Is Eliza missing or something?

  • -HeyWowItsFelipe- wins.

I actually didn't think the girls were that bad. I mean, their measurements are not a result of a profit-maximizing equation, that's three plus-factors right there.

  • Oh yeah, because holding a game controller totally makes you a gamer.

So, I guess if I wear a sailor hat, that means I've spent the last 5yrs in the Navy right?

Get real. And get a life.

  • Yea i loved the comment of Gamer Girls dont know how to buy lingerie, I have been gaming since I was a child, and I definetely know where to buy lingerie, actually my boyfriend fines it hot that I am a gamer. If it wasnt for gaming we would have never met.

  • I'm extremely upset to read all of these comments. I am a active member of GorgeousGamers.com and talk to all of the girls in the calendar on nearly a daily basis. Every one of these girls have an amazing personality and the looks to match. This calendar wasnt created based on profit. I know the reason I bought one was to hang some of the coolest people I game with and talk to on my wall. I think it's uber compared to another playboy calendar. I'm also shocked a prestigious community like Kotaku would be posting to bash other gaming communities. I'd also like to point out the increase in member joins the day this story was posted. It appears alot of Kotaku's who arent afraid to show their face are coming over to join GG. The ignorance in this post is overwhelming, but I guess some of you really have nothing else to do to occupy your time.

  • I think it's quite funny how a lot of you sit here and bash these girls, calling them "ugly" and that they aren't really gamers, yet you know nothing about them and they're truly beautiful girls! If you've never been to the site maybe you should visit it!

I'm sure you will see at least ONE girl there that you find attractive ._.

Oh and the whole point of the poses and whatnot was to be sexy... I really don't think there was a way to please you all either way. If they were "natural" you would have been upset and if they're dressed up and in poses you would be upset >_<.
