Cory Barlog Spills Beans On Sixaxis Rumble

barlog.jpg1UP's Matt Leone just got done blogging the big God of War II launch party, and Mr. GoW himself, Cory Barlog, had some things to say about a rumbling Sixaxis, Home, God of War on PSP and where the series is heading:

[God of War PSP] is its own story that connects to the overall story. God of War, God of War 2, and then if all the stars align God of War 3 will be the telling of a trilogy. This PSP story will be a further fleshing out.

There you go, PSP confirmed. Just so you can start planning your continuinity timelines early. He also had something interesting to say about Sony's connectivity between their consoles: while discussing whether the PSP version will in any way communicate with the console version/s, he lets slip just how big a secret Home was amongst developers:

As far as the connectivity and stuff, it sounds awesome, but really kind of just found out about Home ourselves... Home was in development [during GOW2], but nobody really on our development team was knowledgeable about it, so there wasn't much we could do about it.

Poor Cory. Nobody tells him anything anymore.

Still, makes you think: just how finished is Home? Either it was a really, REALLY big secret, or there was so little to show and tell developers that they didn't bother.

And finally, some loose talk on PS3 rumble:

Did Barlog just confirm that God of War 3 will be in 1080p with Sixaxis and VIBRATION functions on PS3? He sure did! Whoa! Well, technically he didn't confirm GOW3, but he confirmed Sixaxis and vibration for the future of God of War.

Come now, God of War 3 on PS3 is a lock. But what's interesting is that they're already talking about vibration. Barlog might be jumping the gun after Sony and Immersion's recent kissy-kiss, but it might also be they are telling him some things. It certainly matches with some rumblings (GET IT?) we've heard about Sony already testing out vibrating Sixaxi (Sixaxises?).
