The Gizmondo saga has got to go down as one of the greatest tales this medium's ever told. The uselessness of the product, the sheer volume of money burned and a disintegrating Ferrari made it one of the most captivating stories of the past few years.
If you need a recap (and really, who doesn't) of the company's rise to notoriety, GSW has got you covered. They've published an old (and endless, you've been warned), previously unpublished account of Gizmondo's early days, made all the more amazing by the fact it predates the handheld's launch. Which means they clock up around 10,000 words and don't even get to the Ferrari.
Unsurprisingly, it takes a rather negative tone towards the company, highlighting its shady past and casting doubt on its potential to succeed. Would this have altered the way the company crumbled had it been published when originally intended? Probably, which is why it's great that it wasn't - otherwise we wouldn't have the sweet pics of an Enzo cleft in twain.
