Wow. Is that one fellow (in one of the topless camisole girl pics) actually shooting video from approximately two inches from her nipple? Sadly, this man has probably never seen a real, live girl nipple before, and needs to document the proof. Even more sadly, he's probably got bigger boobs than her.

It just bothers me that most of those girls likely have little to no concern with games at all. I mean c'mon find hot girls who love games if that is what you are advertising. Or, better yet, don't!

You really that it is OK to take more than photo so that you have good ones to post. All these girls look like they're probably hot if they weren't caught completely by surprise.

Or you could just finish the effect and make them chew food with their mouth open while you take the pictures.

At least we can all get our cheap thrills with these booth babes, unlike the bizarre restrictions they placed on E3.

@kcorbo: In their defense, some girls don't photograph that well, and the dark background with harsh flashes is really unflattering for face shots. But whatever. I appreciate the spirit of the booth babery much more than any particular model present.

Never seen anyone painted like that in Japan. Japanese campaign girls are actually usually a lot more fully dressed than any of these girls. They're just regular college girls, not strippers or even "models".

Don't worry, I find it just as annoying as you do how I named all the files "somethingbabe". But I'm not gonna bother changing it now.

The funny thing is how they're all trained in posing for the cameras. They're there to get their picture taken. I'm not sure if it's the same at other shows like Leipzig. At E3, I know most of the girls saw it like a day off and would just stand around chatting with each other, oblivious to everybody else. At TGS, if you ask to take their picture, they smile and hold up whatever marketing trinket they're assigned to carry. Or they just put on their "cute face", like the Tokimeki Memorial girl did. But they definitely want to make it into publications and blogs; it's part of what they're hired for.

btw I took those photos for the web site I worked for at the time, not just for my own amusement.

@geekgrrl: Actually, it doesn't bother her at all ... otherwise, she wouldn't have put a bikini pic of her boobs on MySpace -- she kind of hates the stereotypes of gamer/geek girls.

Yeah I much prefer the look of TGS's campaign girls to any of the western shows or even some of the other Asian shows, where they do use professional models. Like I said, the TGS girls are just regular girls, most of whom just happen to be cute.

And after I looked at some of my pics again, some of them *are* actually pretty scantily clad, but I still can't imagine anyone walking around in nothing but paint. It would be a huge controversy. In fact, something similar happened when NHK had their New Year's show last year and one of the acts featured dancers in realistic bodysuits - it made the national news and forced NHK to apologize. They weren't even really naked!

This is why I don't bring up my hobby with people I've just met.
