In Ty 2: Bush Rescue— released today for PS2, Xbox, and GameCube— your job is to get Ty to the debate on time and hit John Kerry in the head with a boomerang.

Or at least, it should be. But this game was genuinely made down under, where the word "bush" doesn't make anyone organize a protest march or even giggle. They maybe should have considered that before shipping it stateside with that title though. Especially since the game is more targeted towards kids than adults.

Title of the sequel notwithstanding, the original was a good-looking, solid platform game for beginners with good production values. At $19.99, if you're looking for a cheap holiday present for a young'un, this one will probably be a decent bet. Most kids dig cute animals with Australian accents, and if they don't, screw 'em.
