Kotakuite David sent in this snapshot of an amazing Majora's Mask cake that his girlfriend's mother made him for his birthday. I think this might be the best game cake since the awe inspiring Mario Wedding Cake. But what really puts this one in it's own category, is the story of the person who made it.
What is really remarkable about this cake is the fact that my girlfriend's mother lost the use of her left arm in a car accident over 20 years ago. Yet, she was still able to create such an incredible cake with only one arm.
Well needless to say, I'm impressed! I couldn't make a cake like that with two hands, much less one. Hats off to you, madame!

That's amazing
must... have...
I think I woudl cry of happiness if someone actually took the time to bake me that cake. (Majora's Mask is my favorite Zelda)
But damn, to anyone who didn't know what it was, that's probably the scariest cake ever.
Holy shit, just... just... incredible. I would drop to tears if I got a cake with such amazing workmanship.
WOW, that's an amazing piece of work right there. And even more amazing that she made it with only using 1 arm.
That's amazing. The drummer from Def Leopards got nothing on her.
Superb!!!! That cakes is by far the best cake I have ever seen. I wonder how long that guy was on his knees crying when he got that cake.
Holy shit that's amazing. Even the ones from the professionals on the Cooking Network (given, they have very different subject matter) never look that good. She could start up a business; I know I, for one, would pay out the ass to have that at my next birthday party.
Good christ.
Sweet... I wish I could get a wedding cake made up like that... My fiance wouldn't aprove but I'd be damn happy :)
Dear god...it's beautiful...*__*...I want a cake like that! DX
That seriously kicks a$$. Me wanty!!!! As soon as they start mass-producing it, I'm buying one... or two... maybe 20.
I am Completely Blown-away
I could never eat that seriously
and i Love cake.
J.
Not to belittle this awesome thing, but I can't stop wondering if that's from a repurposed Valentine's Day mold...
I always wanted a Majora's Mask, or really, any evil mask that whispers megalomaniacal thoughts when you wear it.
Poor thing, with only one arm.
Anyway, that cake looks so stunning, I don't think I could ever eat it.
I want a cake with epona on it..anyone have any mother in laws who arent busy?
my mom used to make cakes like that for every birthday. she made mario for my brother one year. i realllly need to find those pictures. but she has two arms. so this cake is exceedingly amazing
If I had gotten that, I wouldn't have eaten it.
That's incredible. I could not bring myself to eat that.
That is awesome. I wouldnt be in the same room if they cut that. I'd go nuts.
Best. Cake. Ever.
Seriously, I love the look of Majoras Mask and she just captured it perfectly. What an awesome way to celebrate your Birthday and Happy birthday!
You know, the first thing that popped into my head when I heard she had one arm was "Yarr!"
Yeah, I'm going to hell.
I honestly don't know if I could eat that.
It is amazing. Great story.
It makes me remember the argument awhile back about the guy who wanted sensitivity controls on the WII because he had a condition that made it difficult for him to use his arms. How many people said "tough luck, if you can't do it as it is, don't try, Nintendo can't and shouldn't cater to anyone." I seem to remember quite a few ;)
This is what people can do. Don't limit them, and give em the tools, and they can do just as well, if not better than you ;)

Probably, but I don't think the shape is what's awesome about the cake...the icing decorations and whatnot are make it really awesome.
Hats off to the creator, that really takes the cake. *groan*
Dorcas, even if it is, the detail and time put into the decorating is phenomenal. Molds are just tools, decorating is where the men get separated from the twinks.
I'd be reluctant to even cut into that.

that makes me think of the one handed xbox360 controller that ben heckendorn build for a guy who lost an arm in iraq. also that cake is beautiful, i wouldnt have the guts to cut it
Damn, mom must be some kind of avant garde artist or something!
Also, I'm sorry in advance for not knowing what avant garde really means.
yeah really awesome cake and all though yeah
if you've only had one arm for twenty years you'd probably be pretty used to having just one arm and could probably do all kinds of motor functions
like opening a coke can with one arm, or washing your hair with one arm
i reckon that putting on a shirt with one working arm and one paralyzed arm requires a heck of a lot more reflex and focus than, you know, icing a cake, where it's cool to take your time
you know
if you take the time to think about it
