Today, Square-Enix's Final Fantasy XII goes on sale in Japan. The game, which was given a perfect score from Famitsu, is expected to fly off shelves. Rather, this game is going to be inhaled by the entire Japanese people, causing a RPG-induced haze that the island nation won't be able to awake from until more DS Lites go on sale. Err, yeah, something like that.
At a Tsutaya in Shibuya, Square did a PR rigamaroll complete with men in suits. Fans lined-up since early morning, and the first person in line had been waiting since 6:00 pm yesterday. Square Prez. Yoichi Wada and the game's executive producer attended the event and answered questions. Over two million copies were shipped for the launch, and a localized version of Final Fantasy XII should be out in the US later this year.
