Tara Strong, who voiced Rikku in Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2 and Kingdom Hearts II (also Raven of Teen Titans and Rugrats' Dil Pickles) talks about her current gig: Blue Dragon's Kluke. She says:
I am working on that game right now. It its a HUGE undertaking. There is tons of dialogue. It is an extremely tedious job ... but I believe the fans will see it was worth every moment.
If you think localizing it is tedious, try grinding through the game's second disc.

Whoa, she's cute. I always thought voice actresses were the kind that couldn't make it on the silverscreen because of say, "girth". Hey I love that word, what can I say? Girth!
She does a very good job as Timmy Turner for Fairly Odd Parents. I forgot she did Barbara Gordon in the The New Batman Adventures.
She has a fairly dynamic range, so it should be interesting to see what happens with the localization.
Hang on...it comes on two disks? You can't just leave it at that. This is a disk swapper?
There are three discs ....
Three discs, I think.
Anywho, yeah... I don't find her voice acting offensive, so it's interesting to note she's on the cast.
Where can I find the rest of the cast listing?
I love Tara Strong! She's one of the best VAs in the biz, IMO.
Make sure you check that link guys (and some gals) Tara is definitely in the hawtness territory, what a pleasant surprise because like interstate78 says, excessive girthness (ya like that one eh interstate) always makes me not wanna see the reality behind the fantasy.
They should make it on 5 discs and include the option of the japanese voice overs =P But I don't mind swapping discs... I ain't that lazy =P
But good to hear she is doing her voice, now i'm curious who's playing the rest of the cast.
I wonder how old she is. She has a kid.
Pretty damn hott.
I believe she's also one of the PowerPuff Girls. Buttercup?
Funny how the voice of Buttercup is also the voice of Princess Clara from Drawn Together. And yes, she's cute.
Ben 10 as Ben?
>>If you think localizing it is tedious, try grinding through the game's second disc.
Haha, I didn't even start it yet. I finished the first disc a couple weeks after launch and haven't played it since.
Sure, she looks okay. Most of the voice actors (male and female) I've seen are about as good looking as you'd expect for a regular actor (and some of them are also regular actors e.g. on stage). I mean, not stunning necessarily, but better than average...
"I believe she's also one of the PowerPuff Girls. Buttercup?"
Bubbles, actually.
The reason why some are scared to look at the face behind the voice is because of voice actors like Maile Flanagan, who's the actress behind Naruto (go do a google search, you'll see what I mean). While that may change your predisposition on young male characters with scratchy voices, it would do you well to know that the voice actor for Ash in Pokemon doesn't have the aforementioned "girth."
But yes, Tara Strong is very hot. And I thought she does Bubbles, not Buttercup. Bubbles is the blond/blue one, as indicated in the picture. Buttercup's the green tomboy.
People seem to forget she also voiced Presea in Tales of Symphonia...
thank you scot for pointing that out, I was just about to do that.
Eh, she's no Danielle Harris.
My favourite voice actor... she also did Presea in Tales of Symphonia.
Robot chiken reference in 5,4,3,2....
So I says: "Forget about me Blue Dragon, and startworryin' about me Blue Balls, ya whooore."
Tara Strong is BATGIRL!
No, really, she was. She also voiced a couple little girls in Family Guy, including the British one if I'm not mistaken.
Haven't seen the picture (I surf light), so didn't know my note was both trivial and incorrect. I mean, with a name "Strong", you would think she'd voice "the toughest fighter", not "the giant laughter" of the team.
she's hardly an actress. I mean the reason she probably does voice work is because she's not good enough for tv
What? No Frankie from Foster's Home? For shame!
Tara is 34. And Frankie is actually done by Grey DeLisle, another gorgeous talented VA who works on a lot of cartoon network projects.
