With a swipe of his pen Monday afternoon Illinois Governor managed to turn an idiotic bill into an unconstitutional law. As I predicted, the Entertainment Software Association filed a lawsuit against the law faster than you can spell Katamari Damacy correctly.
The ESA argues that the new anti-gaming law is overly vague, will have a chilling effect on free speech and is bad public policy because it substitutes the government's judgment for parental supervision.
I hope the ESA can hop on that whole FTC issue next.
