Eidos has announced that budget-minded gamers looking to get their assassination on will have plenty of opportunity to do so when the company ships its Hitman Trilogy collection for the PC and PlayStation 2. For the low price of $29.99, gamers can snag Hitman: Blood Money, Hitman: Silent Assassin, and Hitman: Contracts in a single box. A preview disc for the upcoming Kane & Lynch: Dead Men will also be included in the package.
The collection will be available on June 20th (aka tomorrow) at stockists of fine killing games.
Gotta love that end-of-generation savings. Having never played a Hitman game to date, I might just have to snatch this up.

what's on that preview disc? I want to know :(
I really wouldn't mind a revisiting of those games, using the BM engine. It was the first Hitman game to totally get the gameplay experience right, but it was just too short. Can't wait for a continuation of the series.. next year maybe?
Why'd they include Contracts, and not Agent 47 (the 1st game of the series)? That doesn't make much sense. Especially because Contracts is a boring wash-up of the 1st and 2nd games.
@Michael McWhertor: I can't quite believe it. Don't miss out on Blood Money, it's one of a kind. Not to mention the previous games which are great but not as spectacular anymore (of course).
I was expecting PS3 news. For shame.
I wish Blood Money was this cheap on it's own.
But welcome news nonetheless, I'll probably be picking this up tomorrow.
Anyone know if Steam, which is already offering the package, will drop the price from 49.99 to 29.99 or if the boxed version must be purchased?
Thanks.
argggg must resist urge to rebuy games i already have.
i too was hoping for PS3 news, (deceptive use of "tripled!") but being that ive always meant to play these games, sounds cool.
I might just have to pick this up, I've been interested in this series, looks like it might hook me the same way Devil May Cry package did.
Ps. McWhertor.. if you haven't played Blood Money, you should take out the time to. Probably one of my favorite games ever (and that's a short list).
I might pick up this title. Heck, I've been meaning to try Blood Money ever since I saw the advertisment for it... Very classy
@ evulcow
Hitman: Contracts didn't have any of the missions from the second game, only the first, with extra missions added.
Contracts was actually my favorite game in the series.
Also, the original Hitman isn't included because it was never released on the PS2 and they can't be bothered to port it. Not sure why it isn't in the PC compilation though...perhaps for the sake of consistency.
@TheBrain: Oh, that clears it up. I'm not too familiar with the Hitman games on consoles. And Contracts really didn't have any of the missions from Hitman2? Weird. Anyway, my mind tricked me then.
Why no xbox 360 love? I'm a big time Hitman fan, and i'd love to get this. Stupid stupid stupid!
Well this is good news indeed. I wanted to play the Hitman games and now I can and at a cheap price :D
Never played Hitman? Dude, you're missing out. For my money, stealth based games don't get any better.
Hitman shits all over Tenchu, is more fun than Splinter Cell, and is infinitely more replayable than any MGS.
@CountElmdor: But it doesn't top Thief! >:-P
Seriously, I'm happy for this. I own and have played all four games (my PC can't handle the fourth, so I went PS2 with it). I can't wait for a new game. And I might also be looking forward to the movie, maybe. >_>
Hitman is really the only game of its kind. It gives you at least 5 ways to complete a mission. It allows you to be stealthy in plain sight. It should definitely be tried by everyone at the least. I'm actually looking forward to Splinter Cell Conviction, though, as it seems to borrow the plain-sight stealth of the Hitman series and improve upon it.
@temporaryscars: Damn right, I'd love to see Contracts and Silent Assassin ported over to the 360. I already have Blood Money, but at that price (even scaling it up for the conversion to Australian dollars, and adjusting for current-gen software pricing), I'd definitely buy it again to have the other two in HD.
But to have them on PS2, I don't know if I can be bothered. I can just fish the old ones out of the bargain bin at EB if I really want to play them.
If you ask me Silent Assassin and Contracts are the better two of that bunch.
I have the latest one Blood Money and I just can't get into it because the damn thing is all glitchy. I have no idea why, but I'll get odd visual errors in the game, like Agent 47's nose will suddenly be all Pinocchio, or a texture will be missing, or worse swap in and out rapidly. I tried getting help from Edios's tech support and they were no help. The errors just became too damn distracting, so I'm still on level 2.
I wish they'd release the Xbox versions in the same manner. I mean, why not?
@Jesse Mrozowski: I've never experienced errors like these. The only visual flaw I've noticed at all is that 47's head is a teensy bit jaggy.
