During Xbox 360's launch week, one of the consoles sold every 13 seconds on eBay, ringing in a whopping $23 million in sales, according to research by eBay sales tracking firm Terapeak.
While sales have slowed down considerably since launch, the company says that 360s are still going for an average price of about $700 on the auction site.
Overall there were 586,035 bids placed on 39,562 systems, though Teraleak doesn't really say how up to date their data now is.
That's amazing. It looks like the NPD Group needs to start taking eBay into account for tracking console launch sales.
