According to Eurogamer, EA has followed-up its recent purchase of DICE by shutting down the Canadian branch of the studios.

"In Canada we have three locations - Burnaby, Vancouver and Montreal - so we didn't need a development studio in Ontario," said Tiffany Steckler of EA.

But don't fret for those poor souls: even now, EA's trying to figure out a way to roll all of those now-fired people into the hive mind responsible for some of the crappiest patch-iteration franchises on Earth. Florian Eckhardt
